Arts Council Creative Schools Initiative 2024-26
To help fund our Creative Schools Initiative 2024-26 , a ‘Blind Raffle’ fundraising event has been organised by the Teaching and Learning Committee in St Mary’s. Thanks to the wonderfully talented school community of current and past students, parents, staff members (past & present) and friends of the school, 59 artworks have been donated to our fundraising event. Anyone who buys a ticket is guaranteed to win an artwork as raffle tickets have been limited to 59. Proceeds from the event will finance creative workshops for the students which will take place during Creative Schools Week Oct 6th to Oct 10th, 2025. Through the workshops, students will engage with professional people from the worlds of Fashion, Interior Design and Baking. This, in turn, will lead to a whole school project based on ideas generated from these workshops. A big thanks goes to Karl Quinn, our creative associate, for helping with this project, Baldoyle Library for displaying the artworks and to local artists Sarah Gallagher and Gavin O’Donnell who have very generously donated artworks to our fundraising event.
