With thanks to the grant awarded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Programme, 13 of our Transition Year students spent one week in Bordeaux from May 21st to 28th 2025. Students stayed with their host partner, whom they had met when the French group visited our school in February. Two teachers, Ms Molloy and Ms Flynn, accompanied the students. The theme of our joint project was “Developing a Culture of Inclusive Exchanges with an EU Neighbour” and students participated in cultural outings and activities designed to raise their awareness of EU citizenship. Students attended classes in College Sainte-Anne Le Bouscat in the morning, and participated in activities with their exchange partners in the afternoon. The programme was designed in collaboration with our colleagues in Sainte-Anne le Bouscat, and students reported being more familiar with French culture and comfortable having basic conversations in French upon their return.
The programme of activities that students undertook can be found here.
