Sports Day 2025

Sports Day 2025

On Friday 9th May 2025 St Mary’s had their annual whole school sports day wellbeing event. There were a diverse range of events for all students to participate in including; 100 metre dash; relays; egg and spoon; long puck; soccer penalties; three-legged race; and dance station with Amy White-Lambe.

The Racecourse Park was overtaken by a colour rush of students representing their year in their year colours.

Not only did we keep up our annual tradition of crowning the fastest girl in the school, we were able for the first time in our history to award the fastest boy in the school. Congratulations to Jodie Gibney 6th Year on winning the fastest girl and Patrick McCormick 1st Year on winning the fastest boy.

Thank you to Mr Fennell and Mr Pettitt for coordinating the event and to all staff who generously gave their time to set the event up. A big thank you to Amy White-Lambe and Thunderstruck Productions for their excellent dance station and for keeping the energy and the tunes going. As ever we are so grateful to Mark Gibney for use of the Racecourse Park facilities and all his help in assembling the events.
