Child Safeguarding Update 2026
As part of the updated Child Safeguarding requirements for 2026, our school is currently undertaking a review of our Child Safeguarding Statement and associated procedures.
In recent weeks, a number of actions have taken place to support this process. A PowerPoint presentation on child protection has been shared with students and Year Heads to reinforce awareness and understanding of safeguarding practices. In addition, child-friendly posters have been created and displayed around the school to ensure key messages are accessible and visible to all students.
We are also gathering feedback from both students and parents. A small number of students have been randomly selected to complete a short survey to assess their knowledge and understanding of child protection. Alongside this, parents/guardians are invited to complete a short survey to provide valuable input as part of our review.
We greatly appreciate the time and support of our school community in helping us maintain the highest standards of safety and wellbeing for all students.
Kind regards,
R. Flynn
