Child Protection

The Board of Management of St Mary’s Secondary School, Baldoyle, wishes to confirm that it has formally adopted and implemented the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools (revised 2025) in full.

In accordance with the requirements of the Department of Education and the Children First Act 2015, the Board has reviewed and updated the school’s Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment. The Board affirms that all necessary policies, procedures, and practices are in place to safeguard the welfare of students attending the school.

The Child Safeguarding Statement, including the written Risk Assessment, is available here on the school website under the Safeguarding section and is behind glass in the foyer of the school and is available to parents/guardians and the wider school community on request. Please also see the child friendly version for students.

This statement is subject to annual review and will be updated in line with any further guidance issued by the Department of Education and Tusla.
