Creative Schools Week 2025

Teaching & Learning

  • Transitioning to co-education (from September 2024), reflecting the school’s commitment to adaptability and inclusivity (Alignment: Leadership and Management, School Culture, Wellbeing and Inclusion).
  • A strong tradition of leadership opportunities, including:
    • Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Senior Prefects, Student Council, and Green School Committee (Alignment: Learner Experiences, Leadership and Management, Student Voice).
  • Effective Learning Support Coordination ensures detailed and structured support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (Alignment: Learning and Teaching, Wellbeing and Inclusion).
  • Robust transition programs for first-year students, including:
    • First Year Assessment Morning (CAT 4 exams)
    • Parent Information Sessions & School Visits
    • Parental Registration & Data Collection by Year Head, Principal, and Resource Coordinator (Alignment: Wellbeing and Inclusion, School Community).
  • A Creative School Plan is being developed to further encourage student creativity and innovation (Alignment: Learning and Teaching, Learner Experiences).

Focus for 2024/2025:

  • Develop a Creative School Plan to enhance student creativity (Alignment: Learning and Teaching, Learner Experiences).
  • Introduce new teaching methodologies through cross-curricular training sessions (Alignment: Learning and Teaching, Professional Development).
  • Encourage student-led creative projects to increase engagement in the arts and innovation (Alignment: Learning and Teaching, Learner Experiences).
